SMART Biotech Ltd. was established in 2004 in Israel. Located in the science park adjacent to the Weizman Institute in Rehovot, SMART Biotech Ltd. has an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certified R&D and production facility for the development and production of the SMARTube™ HIV&HCV.
The SMARTube™ HIV&HCV technology is a breakthrough in sample processing for the diagnosis of HIV and HCV infections. Pre-treating the blood sample in the SMARTube™ HIV&HCV leads to enhanced antibody production, and thus to better detection by the diagnostic kits used. Full scale manufacturing and widespread application of the SMARTube™ HIV&HCV has the ability to help in containing the spread of these infections.
